“So who else do you know who could be my business coach?” I asked the quail.
Recently, I had decided to start asking around for a business coach. I realized I needed a business coach after losing my steam about creating a business. I had wanted to get the word out about obedience classes being for humans, not dogs. I thought dogs would be beating down the door to drag their humans to obedience classes.
The quail pecked at a bug. “I’ve heard that the bat who lives in your yard also does business coaching.”
I thought about that. “Really? The bat who comes out at night?”
The quail fluffed its wings. “Well of course at night. When else is a bat coming out?”

“I need another business coach,” I said to the quail.

The quail eyed me. “Why? What’s wrong with the one I gave you?”
“Too far away,” I said, dropping my ears back. “I can’t go looking for a mountain lion in the mountains. That’s too far away for me to go.”
The quail pecked a bug. “I can’t believe this.”

I decided to talk to Ralph.
Recently, I had decided to start asking around for a business coach. I realized I needed a business coach after losing my steam about creating a business. I had wanted to get the word out about obedience classes being for humans, not dogs. I thought dogs would be beating down the door to drag their humans to obedience classes.
Ralph is my outdoor friend but I don’t know what animal he is because I never see anything but his eyes.
I explained the story about the business coach and how I didn’t think I could get out of the yard to meet the coach mountain lion.
Ralph blinked at me. “Maybe you need to find a new business coach?”
“But I just found this one! And this was hard enough to find with the quails being so uncooperative.”
“That business coach, however, is inaccessible is to you. So you need to find one that you CAN work with.”

“Maybe you need to ask the quails again,” Maddie, my packmate said.
Recently, I had decided to start asking around for a business coach. I realized I needed a business coach after losing my steam about creating a business. I had wanted to get the word out about obedience classes being for humans, not dogs. I thought dogs would be beating down the door to drag their humans to obedience classes.
“Ask the quails?”
Maddie nosed the ball around. “Well, they knew about the mountain lion, maybe they’ll know of someone closer.”
I put my head down. “But it took me so long to get to them in the first place, now you’re telling me to go track them down again?”
Maddie shrugged. “You’re the one who wants a business coach.”

“Maybe there’s someone closer?” Maddie, my packmate suggested.

I was still staring out the window wondering how I was going to get to the mountain lion coach without leaving the yard. “What do you mean?”
Maddie shrugged and pushed a ball with her nose. “Well, maybe there’s someone closer you can work with. Someone you can reach from the yard.”
“Someone closer,” I mused.
Maddie rolled the ball around. “Or…”

“In a cave? Any cave?” I asked.

The squirrel told me the quails could help me find a business coach, but so far the quails weren’t letting me approach them, much less talk to them.
The quail ruffled its feathers. “No, not any cave. A specific cave. You think mountain lions don’t have a home because they don’t live in a house like you?”
I thought about that. “I don’t know, I thought they lived in trees.”
The quail pecked at a bug. “Dogs.”

“What do you mean I won’t like the answer?” I asked the quail.

I perked my ears. “But?”
The quail pecked at a bug on the ground. “She would be as likely to eat you as coach you.”

The quail squawked. “A business coach? You want a business coach?”

The quail ruffled its wings and said “What’s your question?”

I was so surprised the quail actually asked what my question was I jerked my head. But, I did it so fast I caused another flurry with the quails.
“Wait,” I said. “I’m not eating you. I’m just happy you asked.”
The quails eyed me nervously, hopping around and adjusting their feathers. “So what is it? What’s your question?”
“I was told you can help me find a business coach. Can you?”
