There’s nothing like a little sweat to get the creative juices pumping. So if you’re feeling stuck or blocked or otherwise frustrated with your muse, step away from your desk and move your body instead.
At least for me, I spend a lot of time in my head. In fact, I would say my preferred place to be is in my head and thinking about things. But, I’ve discovered the more I get out of my head and into my body, the more creative I am. (Not to mention the fact that creativity seems to work best when you aren’t pushing or forcing — your muse is happier when you aren’t so focused on what she is and isn’t doing.)
