What’s YOUR favorite low-cost marketing technique?
As you probably know, if you want a successful business you need to market your business. And that’s never been more true than right now.
But, with all the different marketing tactics available to you, which one should you focus on? Well, one great tactic to take another look if you aren’t doing it is public relations.
PR can be cheap and very effective. After all, the whole point is to build credibility by getting the media to quote you, interview you, or write a story about you.
You probably know that, but did you also know that PR is a really good SEO (search engine optimization) tool? You can use PR to drive qualified traffic to your site for little or no cost.
I interviewed Drew Gerber, Co-Owner of Wasabi Publicity, Inc., for his tips on using public relations to build leads, customers and sales. You can download the audio for free here: www.MichelePW.com/presskits.
In the meantime, please comment share your thoughts on YOUR favorite low-cost marketing technique.

I totally agree with Biana, Twitter ROCKS as a marketing tool. Not because it’s an easy, push-the-button-and-get-a-sale tool, but because it makes it super-easy to have real, fun conversations with just the folks who are interested in what you have to say, and vice versa! And those conversations build relationships…I’ve met many, many cool, vibrant entrepreneurs on Twitter. Ok, I’m gushing, but I really do love it!

I love Twitter as well, but probably my favorite low cost marketing technique is thank you notes. It’s easy–and these days–often unexpected to receive a note in the mail from someone. But it can make a very big impression. Especially if it’s real and not one of those goofy SendOutCards things.
Plus, it’s just good karma to be grateful for the relationships you have.
